Students who have paid the full amount for a lost book will receive a refund if the book is found and returned to the media center within the same school year and in good condition.
- The Media Center is open from 8:50 am until 1:30 pm.
- Students must receive a hall pass before coming to the Media Center.
- Students may check out books in groups of 6 or less with a hall pass. Whole class checkout can be scheduled by visiting the 'Contact Us' tab, then 'Media Center Request.'
Student Check-Out:
- Students in Kindergarten may check out 1 book at a time to keep in their classroom.
- Students in grades 1-5 may check out 2 books at a time to keep in their classroom.
- If a student is working on a project or presentation, they may check out an additional book that pertains to the research topic.
- Students must always use a shelf marker when searching for books on the circulation floor.
Overdue Items:
- All materials may be checked out for two weeks.
- We do not charge fines for overdue/late books.
- However, if an item is not returned by its due date, no new books may be checked out until it is returned.
- Overdue notices are provided to the classroom teacher at the end of each month.
- Book Swap is available for students that are unable to check out books.
Lost/Damaged Items:
- Students who lose or damage a book will be expected to pay the full replacement value.
Damage includes:
- Coloring or writing on any pages
- Water or other liquid damage anywhere on the book.
- Ripped/torn/missing/chewed cover or pages
- Food/stains
